I read some posts stating Gundam Official Gate, the Sunrise mobile site, will
deliver the limited GSD cellphone wallpaper images for Kira, Lacus, Athrun,
Cagalli, Luna and Shin. So that's the pics you just posted. Both Athun and
Cagalli look great. I hope I could have the image to my cellphone too.
And the smaller picture of smiling Athrun came from the scene of Ep45 where he
said "It's fine for now. We don't need to rush. We have the same
dream."
All right, Asucaga fans, I finally had time to finish my Japanese version PS2
Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow and uploaded the following youtubes.
Due to new policy of Youtube, I have to break it into 2 video to comply with
their 10-minute limit length video rule. The following youtubes contained the
new movie clips in Japanese original voice (Ishida Akira for Athrun Zala, Naomi
for Cagalli and etc) from PS2 Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow RPG game. It had
a slight difference between the English and Japanese-dubbed versions; that is,
the new scene for Asucaga in the unmanned cave. In English-dubbed version,
Athrun looked at Cagalli and then thought "what's your name?" while in
Japanese-dubbed, Athrun silently looked at Cagalli after she bandaided and
apologized to him. The remaining conversation and narration stayed the same as
in the English-dubbed version which I uploaded on 3/27/2008.

According to latest news, Director Fukuda for GS and GSD will begin his column
in Seed Club in upcoming May 2008. Hopefully, we would hear more news/progress
about the movie from Director Fukuda.
Here are more detailed news about those cards for KiraLacus and Asucage and
image files for Lacus and Cagalli distributed in Tokyo International Anime Fair
2008:
1) Seed Club booth in Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008 would distribute
limited free cards for KiraLacus on 3/29/2008 and cards for Asucaga on
3/30/2008. They only distributed up to 2000 sets on both dates. They also
offered free .gif image files for Lacus on 3/29/2008 and Cagalli on 3/30/2008.
However, they would require your active Seed Club Mobile membership number to
send the image files to your cellphones. The image files for Cagalli and Lacus
are the same as free limited cards for Asucaga and KiraLacus except there's no
background and no Athrun and no Kira.
2) Here are the pictures for KiraLacus (card # SCM-TAF-0059) and Asucaga cards
(card # SCM-TAF-0060) distributed on 3/29/2008 and 3/30/2008,

May I ask you this question? At the upper right corner of Asucaga card or upper
left corner of KiraLacus cards, it's printed with "Tokyo International
Anime Fair" in Japanese. However, the year is not clear in the pic so I
can't be too sure to say if it's for 2008 or 2006. Would you mind to tell us
which year these Asucaga and KiraLacus cards were released? I heard the recent
news stating that you must be the registered Seed Club member in order to get
the access key/serial # to obtain the limited free cards for Asucaga and
KiraLacus in 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair.

I agreed with you that Athrun and others sound horribly in English version. Yet
I can't find any youtube that has the Seed's new cutscenes in Japanese original
voice except those 3D Seed Ending and the Seed MSV OP. I'm currently waiting for
the Japanese version import game. The PS2 game, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Never
Ending Tomorrow (aka Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Owaranai Ashita e in Japanese
version) had been released since 10/7/2004 in Japan. The Japanese import one
I'll be getting later is the used one. I'm unsure about the quality of the used
one so I want to make sure I can still play it in my modified system. I'll keep
all of you updated later.
On the other hands, I came across this news about the Japanese PS2 game,
"Super Robot Taisen Scramble Commander the 2nd", released on
11/1/2007. Someone finished the game and found new romantic lines for Asucaga in
Gundam Seed Destiny. Unlike PS2 game "Gundam Seed Never Ending
Tomorrow", the story sequence for this PS2 game "Scramble Commander
the 2nd" is not the same as the original TV Gundam Seed Destiny.
1) after Cagalli decided to stay in Orb, Athrun said those lines, "It's
fine for now. We don't need to rush. We have the same dream".
2) Murrue Ramius then said, "Even though you are away, if both of you have
the same dream and hope, your being together surely will not be changed..."
3) Later, Kira found out Eternal got attacked in space so he took off with
Strike Rouge. Athrun (whose Gouf was not shot down by Shinn in this game story)
also took off with Gouf to help Kira save Eternal. Then, it came with the
following romantic lines for Asucaga:
Cagalli: "You must return back alive. I don't allow you die!"
Athrun: "Aah, I understand. I will return to place where I'll be with you
only. I won't be confused again."

I'm glad you liked the new Asucaga scenes.
Their game website listed as below said the PS2 game had 40 minutes of movie
quality CGI and cutscenes from the original Gundam Seed TV show. The game story
and its sequence remains the same as the original Gundam Seed TV show.
Apparently, those new cutscenes, which I posted to Youtubes, are the bonus they
gave to the player(s) or hardcore Gundam Seed fans or Asucaga fans (due to their
special new cut scenes and narration).
I finally have some time to upload the following movie clip to Youtube. They
came from PS2 Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow. In order to obtain the movie
clip, I have to finish the game. I did not use any game code to beat the game.
However, I got this game in USA version so they all speak English. Whenever I
have time, I'll try to get the Japanese version game if it's still available.
Honestly, I prefer to hear the original Japanese voices for both Athrun and
Cagalli.

Reports from Japanese sites, such as Ayano?Diary, say the most recent issue of
Animage gives a long-awaited update on the situation surrounding the Gundam SEED
movie, originally announced back in May of 2006. Chiaki Morosawa, who was the
subject of an interview, says the plot has been done for some time now but that
following the end of SEED Destiny, she fell ill, underwent examinations, and
currently goes to the hospital for treatment. Apologizing more than once, she
states the delay was simply due to that and though there isn't a plan in place,
she has no lack of energy so she asks fans to please wait a little longer.
Anyway, I think we need to be patient with Morosawa and hopefully the movie will
be released soon.

Some interesting news about the upcoming 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair in
Japan. They said their Gundam booth will distribute free limited cards for
KiraxLacus and Lacus on March 29th and cards for AthrunxCagalli and Cagalli on
March 30th.
In the same 2008 Gundam Seed Destiny calendar released by Sunrise, the page for
November and December shows the pic with Athrun's wearing new Orb uniform,
Kira's wearing white Zaft uniform and Shin's wearing red Zaft uniform with no
Faith's badge - and on top it has the words "To The Future....". See
the following pic which was posted by one seller in Japan Yahoo
auction.
Again, the pic listed above matches with the ending sequence showing which side
Athrun will stay - that is, Orb (Cagalli).
As of now, we still don't have the news about the exact release date for the
Gundam Seed movie which should be the continuation of the story according to
Director Fukuda.
The Gundam Seed movie which was originally posted in December 2007 Cinema Coming
Soon section is temporarily moved to December 2008 section. Just click the link

Some rumor said that they delayed releasing the movie to celebrate the 30th
Anniversary of the birth of Gundam. True or not, we will have to wait for more

Athrun's wearing Orb admiral/general uniform at the recent ending in GSD Special
Edition IV is pretty much telling us he chooses to stay with Orb - that is,
Cagalli. All major magazines (Newtype, Newtype Romance, Animedia, Animage,
Plash) advocate Asucaga and periodically post the new illustration with them
together. Morosawa, the script writer for GS/GSD (aka Director Fukuda's wife) in
her interview in April 2006 Animedia confirmed the mutual love for Asucaga. She
said Cagalli is very important to Athrun and he will support very imporant her
and that will never change for life. She also said Athrun is not a changeable
man even though he's surrounded with women in her discussion about Asucaga.
Back here, as of now GSD has been divided into 4 parts - the TV GSD version with
50 episodes, GSD Final Plus, GSD Special Edition 1-4, and the upcoming movie
(the continuation of GSD) to be released in 2007 or 2008. We have discussed
about GSD in this forum for a long while ago. As for reference, I strongly

In GSD TV version, the screen time for Asucaga moments was lesser than GS .
In case you haven't yet watched the last 15 episodes of GSD TV, besides the
Asucaga moments in earlier episodes 1-7 (when they were in Minerva), 8 (ring and
kiss scene), 23-24 (a bit harsh moment) of GSD, I listed some more Asucaga
moments beginning from episode 38 below:
1) In episode 38 - Cagalli ran up to Athrun in sickbay. She softly touched
Athrun's hair on his forehead with her eyes filled up with tears and then later
she continued to sit next to him who was resting in the bed.
2) In episode 39 - Cagalli and Athrun were seeking forgiveness to each other.
Cagalli asked Athrun to forgive her not saying anything to him about her wedding
while Athrun said he should be the one to apologize for what he did in Crete
battle (episode 28).
3) In episode 43 - At the risky moment of Cagalli with her Akatsuki fighting
against Shin with his Destiny, Athrun screamed out her name
"Cagalli".
4) In episode 44 - During Athrun with Infinite Justice fighting against Shin's
Destiny, Athrun had the flashback about his hug with Cagalli (as seen in GS
episode 43).
5) In episode 45, Cagalli removed her ring before she addressed her speech to
everyone in Archangel about her decision to stand against Dullindel. After
seeing her with no ring, Athrun calmly responded to Kira and Lacus, "It's
fine for now. We don't need to rush. We have the same dream". In the
official GSD files, it said that she had to put aside her privacy temporarily
(by removing her ring) to focus on restoring her country (Orb) which had been
severely damaged by Zaft's attack.
In case you have not watched Gundam Seed Destiny Final Plus and Gundam Seed
Destiny Special Edition:
5) In GSD Special Edition III, it revised the original scene so that when Athrun
woke up from the sickbay in Archangel, instead of only seeing Kira there, he
also found Cagalli standing next to Kira. In the revised scene, Cagalli gave him
a smile with her eyes filled up with tears, and Athrun softly looked at her and

Although Wikipedia usually has helpful information, their information is NOT
official and not all of their information is correct. I remembered at one time
they posted the following characters as love interest for Athrun based on their
own speculation: Lacus, Cagalli and Meyrin. Later, someone responded and
demanded their correction due to lack of proof. After the GSD Special Edition IV
(with Athrun's wearing Orb uniform towards the end) was released, we are no
longer seeing the "love interest" section for Athrun Zala.
In regards to their found information from Gundam Seed novel, here is the
translation from Gundam Seed Vol. 2 novel for episode 20 when Athrun returned to
visit Lacus in Plant.
"Both Athrun and Lacus began to know each other since their engagement were
arranged by their parents. At that time, Athrun did not have another girl and
Lacus had no opposition or doubt for their engagement. However, if you ask
Athrun whether or not their feeling to each other was based on love, he will
probably say "I don't know"."
In the novels, the writer did not confirm/mention any romantic feelings that
Athrun had towards Lacus except his respect and liking her as a friend. Because
Athrun had a gentleman kiss/peck on Lacus' cheek and he had no other girl at
that time (before knowing Cagalli), Wikipedia made their own conclusion that
Lacus was the first girl he ever kissed regardless there's no love involved
between them.
On the other hands, the Gundam Seed OFFICIAL File clearly stated that both
Athrun and Lacus had no love/romance relationship to each other.
1) In their Gundam Seed Offiicial File Vol 2:
Their correlation diagram covering from episode 15 to episode 27 had the
following interrelational lines:
- No line between Lacus and Athrun.
- A mutual line between Cagalli and Athrun with the words "Have feelings to

2) In their Gundam Seed Offiicial File Vol 3:
Their correlation diagram covering up to episode 40 had the following
interrelational lines:

- A mutual line between Athrun and Cagalli with the words "Have feelings

Part 1 of the Gundam Seed Shitto (Envy) focused on Yzak who had been jealous all
along at Athrun who was always ahead of him in all events. One day, he witnessed
how Athrun and Kira bursted into Haro Seed mode during their "drastic"
Mobile Suit Haro game fight. He also witnessed how Cagalli and Lacus bursted
themselves into Haro Seed mode to defend themselves from a barking mini-LaGOWE.
He then tried many ways to seek for his own Haro Seed mode but kept failing
himself.

In Part 2 of the Gundam Seed Shitto (Envy), Yzak and Dearka (in red-short team)
challenged both Kira and Athrun (in blue-short team) in beach volleyball. At the
beginning, Kira and Athrun kept gaining all points until Yzak used his last
"powerful" weapon - Dearka's stinky foot. Both Kira and Athrun were
toxified by Dearka's stinky foot odor imprinted on the volleyball, went into
confusion, bumped into each other and then fainted on the ground. Yzak took
advantage of their accident and re-gained all the points. The red-short team
should win the game soon until Yzak saw both Kira and Athrun were picked up and
caressed by each of their lover, Lacus and Cagalli. Seeing this love scene, Yzak
was boiled with jealousy and bursted into his Haro Seed mode that caused him to
kill his own ball by hitting TOO hard. Due to the ball was gone, the blue-short
team easily won this game even though both fainted Kira and Athrun were still in
coma carrying by each of their lover, Lacus and Cagalli, respectively.
In this part 2 of chibi-Gundam Seed, during Cagalli's caressing fainted Athrun's
head, she was saying the following line used in Gundam Seed Episode 43. In
Episode 43, Cagalli said this line when she found Athrun's thinking alone after
he got hurt by his father's gunshot.
Omae, atama hakka nezumi ni natte nai ka?
Your head is not becoming a mouse, right?
Flashback in GS Episode 43:
Cagalli sneeked out from the meeting and started to search for lonely Athrun.
Athrun was standing by himself with his wounded right arm and recollected the
moment of his father gunshot him. Cagalli found him.
Cagalli: "You was here all along?"
She approached him closer.
Cagalli: "Your head is not becoming a mouse, right?"
Athrun shocked: "Eh?"
Cagalli: "You keep on thinking all by yourself does not resolve

On the other hands, after hearing this ranking, Director Fukuda is very grateful
that everyone does not change to support his Gundam Seed series even though the
program had been ended nearly 2 years ago. He said the Gundam Seed movie is the
continuation of the TV series. Still, he can not tell us more about the movie.
In regards to the contents of the movie, he said it's a secret. As of now,
there's no further information from him about exactly when the movie will be
released.
1) As of now, there're still no words about the new Gundam Seed movie. However,
the news about the "movie in progress" has once been announced/posted
by Sunrise bulletin and Anime Festival in 5/2006, and NewType and other medias.
Hopefully, the movie will soon be released this year and we will see more of
Asucaga.
2) New figures for both Lacus and Cagalli in pilot suits as seen in GSD ep. 43
will be released in 10/2007.
B) The 2nd fan disc "SEED Supernova ist" will be released on
9/25/2007. The 2nd fan disc content consists of:

will be great if we can see a new scene with Athrun and Cagalli together at the
end although Athrun's wearing Orb uniform is quite obvious to tell us he will be
with Cagalli in Orb from now on. Well, their new movie will be coming in
December or earlier this year so we may see more new scenes with both Athrun and
Cagalli together. Hopefully, we would soon hear more news/preview for the movie.
As I mentioned earlier, not including the hug scene in SE IV did not mean it's
not existed. Their official SE II DVD included Athrun's booklet (see the special
hug at the lower right corner of the pic below) that had the section mentioning
about their special hug from Final Plus with the following message.
"Athrun returned to Orb but opened distance with Cagalli who is in the
situation of guiding the confused world. But when Athrun hugged Cagalli closely
with all his heart, he
conveyed his own feelings."

Hey , all, I have already watched the raw version from Saiyman. Even
though the very new cutscenes are mostly in the short ending sequence, Athrun's
wearing the Orb uniform (with promotion) had answered us that he decided to stay
with and support Cagalli from now on .
Hopefully, we would soon know more about the movie. For now, the movie will be
released in 12/2007 (and it may be changed later).
In SEIV, there are some quick flashback about Cagalli when
Athrun was in battle with Shinn. I also noticed some changes in the SEIV for
them.
1) At 12:07-12:08 of Saiyman raw version: when Kira told Athrun in infirmary
that he suggest to turn on TV because Cagalli was addressing her speech for
them,
Athrun responded with "Eh?" and then "Oh!".
I noticed Akira Ishida (voice actor for Athrun) raised the tone higher for
"Oh" .
Back in the previous TV episode 43, that "Oh" was in a flat tone by
Akira Ishida.
2) At 23:41-23:43, 24:10-26:21: During their analysis and discussion in AA about
Dullindel and his main attempt - Destiny Plan, Cagalli is active and has MORE
lines and expression .
Back in the previous TV episode 44, she was just standing next to Murrue and
Neo, silently listening to everyone's talk and then finally said "Me
neither"
at the end.
3) At 26:44-27:46, Cagalli began her GSeed Cagalli'sh speech ::D :
After hearing Lacus analyzed Dullindel's Destiny Plan - his peaceful world with
no fight/war,
Cagalli raised her tone to everyone, "So that, our wish, hope, and effort
meant nothing at all!?" and
followed with more of her strong speech.
Later, Neo responded to Cagalli, "this is a useless thing", "can
you do such useless thing?
Athrun first responded: "I won't give up."
4) At 33:55-35:00: After Athrun noticed no ring on Cagalli's finger, it came
with a new cutscene where Cagalli, with melancholy, slowly moved the ring off
her finger, carefully put the ring in her own personal case and then kept it in
her drawer.
Even though seeing no ring on her finger, they kept this touching speech from
Athrun, "it's fine for now. We don't need to rush. We have the same
dream". Well, Athrun's wearing Orb uniform (with promotion) at the end is
really telling us that he won't give up and he's still waiting for Cagalli.
More, there will be more times and chances for both of them to be together in
Orb so Cagalli will soon put the ring back on her finger when everything is
settled.
5) Sorry, they did not include the unforgettable Asucaga hug scene from Final
Plus : I personally don't like them not included. However, excluding the hug scene
did not mean it's never existed. Why? (smile )
Because when they released their Gundam Seed Destiny Special Edition II DVD,
they included separate booklet for Athrun. In that booklet, it has the section

"Athrun returned to Orb but opened distance with Cagalli who is in the
situation of guiding the confused world. But when Athrun hugged Cagalli closely

6) At 1:31:37 (after the familiar walking scene in Final Plus):
Athrun began his final narration with new cutscenes:
EDIT "People like them had
individually gained the knowledge of Good and Evil and still extend their hands,
pick up and eat it from the Tree of Life for their eternal life. Because of this
they are received the punishment and are exiled from this joyful paradise. Is
this why they extend their hands again to seek for their lost garden from their
never return distant past? But the time will not return."
At the final scene where Cagalli was followed by her Orb team and every Orb
officer saluted her, Athrun continued, "I would like to believe in the
future which is heading to. Even the garden lives happily without the Tree of
Life, " (yippie!
)
Finally, at the scene where Lacus was followed by Yzak and the rest, Athrun
ended his final sentence, "we can create the future with our own
hands."
NOTE: Inochi no ki - "Tree of life"- is what he quoted in his final
narration. The Tree of Life seems to refer to the story of Adam and Eve who were
punished and got exiled after they ate the fruits from the Tree of Life.
This is the best I could do for now. I will advise all of you to watch the
subbed version, whenever it's available, for more details.

Athrun's wearing that new Orb uniform (the same one Kira wore before when he was
commodore on AA) at ending sequence had already answered our question that he
stayed there for Cagalli. Also according to those who had watched the show, they
said they increased more lines for Cagalli when she was on AA. I also heard more
comments from the show but I want to wait until I watch the raw to verify the
info.
Although I have not watched the raw yet, the following Cagalli's new scene
seemed to me that she temporarily took off her ring and stored it in her
dresser.
Even though majority of the new cutscenes in SEIV are similar to the ones we
have already seen from the magazines, it seemed to confirm with us that Athrun
was promoted (see his new unform with 4 bands) at the end and would stay with
and support Cagalli.

All right, Asucaga fans, I finally had time to finish my Japanese version PS2 Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow and uploaded the following youtubes.
Due to new policy of Youtube, I have to break it into 2 video to comply with their 10-minute limit length video rule. The following youtubes contained the new movie clips in Japanese original voice (Ishida Akira for Athrun Zala, Naomi for Cagalli and etc) from PS2 Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow RPG game. It had a slight difference between the English and Japanese-dubbed versions; that is, the new scene for Asucaga in the unmanned cave. In English-dubbed version, Athrun looked at Cagalli and then thought "what's your name?" while in Japanese-dubbed, Athrun silently looked at Cagalli after she bandaided and apologized to him. The remaining conversation and narration stayed the same as in the English-dubbed version which I uploaded on 3/27/2008.

Here are more detailed news about those cards for KiraLacus and Asucage and image files for Lacus and Cagalli distributed in Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008:
1) Seed Club booth in Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008 would distribute limited free cards for KiraLacus on 3/29/2008 and cards for Asucaga on 3/30/2008. They only distributed up to 2000 sets on both dates. They also offered free .gif image files for Lacus on 3/29/2008 and Cagalli on 3/30/2008. However, they would require your active Seed Club Mobile membership number to send the image files to your cellphones. The image files for Cagalli and Lacus are the same as free limited cards for Asucaga and KiraLacus except there's no background and no Athrun and no Kira.
2) Here are the pictures for KiraLacus (card # SCM-TAF-0059) and Asucaga cards (card # SCM-TAF-0060) distributed on 3/29/2008 and 3/30/2008, respectively:

However, the year is not clear in the pic so I can't be too sure to say if it's for 2008 or 2006. Would you mind to tell us which year these Asucaga and KiraLacus cards were released? I heard the recent news stating that you must be the registered Seed Club member in order to get the access key/serial # to obtain the limited free cards for Asucaga and KiraLacus in 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair.

I agreed with you that Athrun and others sound horribly in English version. Yet I can't find any youtube that has the Seed's new cutscenes in Japanese original voice except those 3D Seed Ending and the Seed MSV OP. I'm currently waiting for the Japanese version import game. The PS2 game, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Never Ending Tomorrow (aka Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Owaranai Ashita e in Japanese version) had been released since 10/7/2004 in Japan. The Japanese import one I'll be getting later is the used one. I'm unsure about the quality of the used one so I want to make sure I can still play it in my modified system. I'll keep all of you updated later.
On the other hands, I came across this news about the Japanese PS2 game, "Super Robot Taisen Scramble Commander the 2nd", released on 11/1/2007. Someone finished the game and found new romantic lines for Asucaga in Gundam Seed Destiny. Unlike PS2 game "Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow", the story sequence for this PS2 game "Scramble Commander the 2nd" is not the same as the original TV Gundam Seed Destiny.

Athrun: "Aah, I understand. I will return to place where I'll be with you only. I won't be confused again."

I'm glad you liked the new Asucaga scenes.
Their game website listed as below said the PS2 game had 40 minutes of movie quality CGI and cutscenes from the original Gundam Seed TV show. The game story and its sequence remains the same as the original Gundam Seed TV show. Apparently, those new cutscenes, which I posted to Youtubes, are the bonus they gave to the player(s) or hardcore Gundam Seed fans or Asucaga fans (due to their special new cut scenes and narration).

"I had completed the plot for a while. However, after GSD was finished, my phyical condition became worse and constantly needs examination and now is in outpatient treatment, and that's all due to my neck problem. It's really inexcusable to ask everyone to wait. It was just being delayed and not that I was planning this or I had no energy. Please wait a little more. Excuse me. In my head, Kira, Athrun, Shin and everyone are healthy. I will do my best to deliver the best creation."

Reports from Japanese sites, such as Ayano?Diary, say the most recent issue of Animage gives a long-awaited update on the situation surrounding the Gundam SEED movie, originally announced back in May of 2006. Chiaki Morosawa, who was the subject of an interview, says the plot has been done for some time now but that following the end of SEED Destiny, she fell ill, underwent examinations, and currently goes to the hospital for treatment. Apologizing more than once, she states the delay was simply due to that and though there isn't a plan in place, she has no lack of energy so she asks fans to please wait a little longer.
Anyway, I think we need to be patient with Morosawa and hopefully the movie will be released soon.

Some interesting news about the upcoming 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair in Japan. They said their Gundam booth will distribute free limited cards for KiraxLacus and Lacus on March 29th and cards for AthrunxCagalli and Cagalli on March 30th.
Me too. Hopefully, they would release the movie soon so we could see both Athrun and Cagalli together.

In the same 2008 Gundam Seed Destiny calendar released by Sunrise, the page for November and December shows the pic with Athrun's wearing new Orb uniform, Kira's wearing white Zaft uniform and Shin's wearing red Zaft uniform with no Faith's badge - and on top it has the words "To The Future....". See the following pic which was posted by one seller in Japan Yahoo auction.

Athrun's wearing Orb admiral/general uniform at the recent ending in GSD Special Edition IV is pretty much telling us he chooses to stay with Orb - that is, Cagalli. All major magazines (Newtype, Newtype Romance, Animedia, Animage, Plash) advocate Asucaga and periodically post the new illustration with them together. Morosawa, the script writer for GS/GSD (aka Director Fukuda's wife) in her interview in April 2006 Animedia confirmed the mutual love for Asucaga. She said Cagalli is very important to Athrun and he will support very imporant her and that will never change for life. She also said Athrun is not a changeable man even though he's surrounded with women in her discussion about Asucaga.
We are now waiting for the upcoming movie. Hopefully we would see more intimate Asucaga scenes in the movie.

In case you haven't yet watched the last 15 episodes of GSD TV, besides the Asucaga moments in earlier episodes 1-7 (when they were in Minerva), 8 (ring and kiss scene), 23-24 (a bit harsh moment) of GSD, I listed some more Asucaga moments beginning from episode 38 below:
1) In episode 38 - Cagalli ran up to Athrun in sickbay. She softly touched Athrun's hair on his forehead with her eyes filled up with tears and then later she continued to sit next to him who was resting in the bed.
2) In episode 39 - Cagalli and Athrun were seeking forgiveness to each other. Cagalli asked Athrun to forgive her not saying anything to him about her wedding while Athrun said he should be the one to apologize for what he did in Crete battle (episode 28).
3) In episode 43 - At the risky moment of Cagalli with her Akatsuki fighting against Shin with his Destiny, Athrun screamed out her name "Cagalli".
4) In episode 44 - During Athrun with Infinite Justice fighting against Shin's Destiny, Athrun had the flashback about his hug with Cagalli (as seen in GS episode 43).
5) In episode 45, Cagalli removed her ring before she addressed her speech to everyone in Archangel about her decision to stand against Dullindel. After seeing her with no ring, Athrun calmly responded to Kira and Lacus, "It's fine for now. We don't need to rush. We have the same dream". In the official GSD files, it said that she had to put aside her privacy temporarily (by removing her ring) to focus on restoring her country (Orb) which had been severely damaged by Zaft's attack.

Although Wikipedia usually has helpful information, their information is NOT official and not all of their information is correct. I remembered at one time they posted the following characters as love interest for Athrun based on their own speculation: Lacus, Cagalli and Meyrin. Later, someone responded and demanded their correction due to lack of proof. After the GSD Special Edition IV (with Athrun's wearing Orb uniform towards the end) was released, we are no longer seeing the "love interest" section for Athrun Zala.

In regards to their found information from Gundam Seed novel, here is the translation from Gundam Seed Vol. 2 novel for episode 20 when Athrun returned to visit Lacus in Plant.
"Both Athrun and Lacus began to know each other since their engagement were arranged by their parents. At that time, Athrun did not have another girl and Lacus had no opposition or doubt for their engagement. However, if you ask Athrun whether or not their feeling to each other was based on love, he will probably say "I don't know"."
In the novels, the writer did not confirm/mention any romantic feelings that Athrun had towards Lacus except his respect and liking her as a friend. Because Athrun had a gentleman kiss/peck on Lacus' cheek and he had no other girl at that time (before knowing Cagalli), Wikipedia made their own conclusion that Lacus was the first girl he ever kissed regardless there's no love involved between them.
On the other hands, the Gundam Seed OFFICIAL File clearly stated that both Athrun and Lacus had no love/romance relationship to each other.

Part 1 of the Gundam Seed Shitto (Envy) focused on Yzak who had been jealous all along at Athrun who was always ahead of him in all events. One day, he witnessed how Athrun and Kira bursted into Haro Seed mode during their "drastic" Mobile Suit Haro game fight. He also witnessed how Cagalli and Lacus bursted themselves into Haro Seed mode to defend themselves from a barking mini-LaGOWE. He then tried many ways to seek for his own Haro Seed mode but kept failing himself.

In Part 2 of the Gundam Seed Shitto (Envy), Yzak and Dearka (in red-short team) challenged both Kira and Athrun (in blue-short team) in beach volleyball. At the beginning, Kira and Athrun kept gaining all points until Yzak used his last "powerful" weapon - Dearka's stinky foot. Both Kira and Athrun were toxified by Dearka's stinky foot odor imprinted on the volleyball, went into confusion, bumped into each other and then fainted on the ground. Yzak took advantage of their accident and re-gained all the points. The red-short team should win the game soon until Yzak saw both Kira and Athrun were picked up and caressed by each of their lover, Lacus and Cagalli. Seeing this love scene, Yzak was boiled with jealousy and bursted into his Haro Seed mode that caused him to kill his own ball by hitting TOO hard. Due to the ball was gone, the blue-short team easily won this game even though both fainted Kira and Athrun were still in coma carrying by each of their lover, Lacus and Cagalli, respectively.
In this part 2 of chibi-Gundam Seed, during Cagalli's caressing fainted Athrun's head, she was saying the following line used in Gundam Seed Episode 43. In Episode 43, Cagalli said this line when she found Athrun's thinking alone after he got hurt by his father's gunshot.
Omae, atama hakka nezumi ni natte nai ka?
Your head is not becoming a mouse, right?
Flashback in GS Episode 43:
Cagalli sneeked out from the meeting and started to search for lonely Athrun. Athrun was standing by himself with his wounded right arm and recollected the moment of his father gunshot him. Cagalli found him.
Cagalli: "You was here all along?"
She approached him closer.
Cagalli: "Your head is not becoming a mouse, right?"
Athrun shocked: "Eh?"
Cagalli: "You keep on thinking all by yourself does not resolve anything".
..........after few more talk between them, Athrun suddenly grabbed her waist, moved forward, dropped himself on her, and hugged her.

On the other hands, after hearing this ranking, Director Fukuda is very grateful that everyone does not change to support his Gundam Seed series even though the program had been ended nearly 2 years ago. He said the Gundam Seed movie is the continuation of the TV series. Still, he can not tell us more about the movie. In regards to the contents of the movie, he said it's a secret. As of now, there's no further information from him about exactly when the movie will be released.

1) As of now, there're still no words about the new Gundam Seed movie. However, the news about the "movie in progress" has once been announced/posted by Sunrise bulletin and Anime Festival in 5/2006, and NewType and other medias. Hopefully, the movie will soon be released this year and we will see more of Asucaga.
2) New figures for both Lacus and Cagalli in pilot suits as seen in GSD ep. 43 will be released in 10/2007.

It
will be great if we can see a new scene with Athrun and Cagalli together at the
end although Athrun's wearing Orb uniform is quite obvious to tell us he will be
with Cagalli in Orb from now on. Well, their new movie will be coming in
December or earlier this year so we may see more new scenes with both Athrun and
Cagalli together. Hopefully, we would soon hear more news/preview for the movie.
As I mentioned earlier, not including the hug scene in SE IV did not mean it's not existed. Their official SE II DVD included Athrun's booklet (see the special hug at the lower right corner of the pic below) that had the section mentioning about their special hug from Final Plus with the following message.

, all, I have already watched the raw version from Saiyman. Even
though the very new cutscenes are mostly in the short ending sequence, Athrun's
wearing the Orb uniform (with promotion) had answered us that he decided to stay
with and support Cagalli from now on 
.
Hopefully, we would soon know more about the movie. For now, the movie will be
released in 12/2007 (and it may be changed later).
In SEIV, there are some quick flashback about Cagalli
when
Athrun was in battle with Shinn. I also noticed some changes in the SEIV for
them.
1) At 12:07-12:08 of Saiyman raw version: when Kira told Athrun in infirmary that he suggest to turn on TV because Cagalli was addressing her speech for them,
.
Athrun responded with "Eh?" and then "Oh!".
I noticed Akira Ishida (voice actor for Athrun) raised the tone higher for "Oh"
Back in the previous TV episode 43, that "Oh" was in a flat tone by Akira Ishida.
2) At 23:41-23:43, 24:10-26:21: During their analysis and discussion in AA about Dullindel and his main attempt - Destiny Plan, Cagalli is active and has MORE lines and expression
.
Back in the previous TV episode 44, she was just standing next to Murrue and
Neo, silently listening to everyone's talk and then finally said "Me
neither" 
at the end.
3) At 26:44-27:46, Cagalli began her GSeed Cagalli'sh speech ::D :
and
followed with more of her strong speech.
After hearing Lacus analyzed Dullindel's Destiny Plan - his peaceful world with no fight/war,
Cagalli raised her tone to everyone, "So that, our wish, hope, and effort meant nothing at all!?"
Later, Neo responded to Cagalli, "this is a useless thing", "can you do such useless thing?
Athrun first responded: "I won't give up."
4) At 33:55-35:00: After Athrun noticed no ring on Cagalli's finger, it came with a new cutscene where Cagalli, with melancholy, slowly moved the ring off her finger, carefully put the ring in her own personal case and then kept it in her drawer.
Even though seeing no ring on her finger, they kept this touching speech from Athrun, "it's fine for now. We don't need to rush. We have the same dream". Well, Athrun's wearing Orb uniform (with promotion) at the end is really telling us that he won't give up and he's still waiting for Cagalli. More, there will be more times and chances for both of them to be together in Orb so Cagalli will soon put the ring back on her finger when everything is settled.
5) Sorry, they did not include the unforgettable Asucaga hug scene from Final Plus
: I personally don't like them not included. However, excluding the hug scene
did not mean it's never existed. Why? (smile 
)
Because when they released their Gundam Seed Destiny Special Edition II DVD,
they included separate booklet for Athrun. In that booklet, it has the section
with their special hug scene and here are partial notes for that hug scene:

Athrun began his final narration with new cutscenes:

Because of this they are received the punishment and are exiled from this joyful paradise. Is this why they extend their hands again to seek for their lost garden from their never return distant past? But the time will not return."
At the final scene where Cagalli was followed by her Orb team and every Orb officer saluted her, Athrun continued, "I would like to believe in the future which is heading to. Even the garden lives happily without the Tree of Life, " (yippie!
Finally, at the scene where Lacus was followed by Yzak and the rest, Athrun ended his final sentence, "we can create the future with our own hands."
NOTE: Inochi no ki - "Tree of life"- is what he quoted in his final narration. The Tree of Life seems to refer to the story of Adam and Eve who were punished and got exiled after they ate the fruits from the Tree of Life.

In GSD SE I, they only have the scenes showing Athrun's still carrying the haumea necklace. That is pretty much to say and confirm he always has it with him.

Athrun's wearing that new Orb uniform (the same one Kira wore before when he was
commodore on AA) at ending sequence had already answered our question that he
stayed there for Cagalli. Also according to those who had watched the show, they
said they increased more lines for Cagalli when she was on AA. I also heard more
comments from the show but I want to wait until I watch the raw to verify the
info.
